By Innocent Eneta
Minna, Niger State – The Scientific Equipment Development Institute (SEDI), Minna, has taken a bold step to institutionalise a culture of excellence and innovation by signing performance agreements with its Heads of Departments (HODs).
The initiative, led by Overseeing Officer (OO) Dr John A. Hemen, aligns with the broader vision of the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of NASENI, Khalil S. Halilu, who recently set high-performance standards for all NASENI institutes.
The signing ceremony, held on December 12, 2024, highlighted the institute’s commitment to aligning departmental goals with NASENI’s objectives. Dr. Hemen remarked, “This agreement serves as a framework to ensure our departments drive innovation, achieve measurable outcomes, and uphold NASENI’s mission of excellence.”
The four-year performance bonds will be reviewed annually, with monthly assessments tracking progress in critical areas such as project viability, partnerships, revenue generation, and adherence to timelines.
The structured approach ensures accountability and positions SEDI-Minna as a key player in advancing technological innovation and fostering growth within NASENI’s ecosystem. “We are setting the stage for measurable success, ensuring that our objectives remain aligned with NASENI’s overarching vision,” Dr. Hemen added.
This move underscores SEDI-Minna’s dedication to driving excellence and achieving groundbreaking results in scientific equipment development across Nigeria.
