NNPC Appoints New CFO, Names Key Leaders in Strategic Shift

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has announced pivotal leadership changes, appointing Mr. Adedapo Segun as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Board of Directors also named Mr. Isiyaku Abdullahi as Executive Vice President (EVP) for Downstream operations and Mr. Udobong Ntia as Executive Vice President for Upstream, marking a strategic shift in the company’s leadership.

Mr. Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer for NNPC Ltd., disclosed the appointments on Wednesday, emphasising that these moves demonstrate the company’s focus on strengthening corporate governance and operational efficiency. “These appointments align with NNPC Ltd’s commitment to building a unified and competent leadership team to drive operational excellence and support the organisation’s strategic objectives,” Soneye stated.

The new CFO, Mr. Segun, previously held the position of Executive Vice President for Downstream, where he contributed significantly to advancing the company’s downstream operations. The company expressed gratitude for the service of outgoing leaders Mr. Umar Ajiya and Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan.

NNPC Ltd. reiterated its commitment to prioritising the interests of the Nigerian public, enhancing financial sustainability, and ensuring global competitiveness within the nation’s energy sector.
