Ex-Minister Pauline Tallen’s Only Son Dies Suddenly in Abuja
Richard Adamu Tallen, the only son of Dame Pauline Tallen, the immediate past Minister of Women Affairs, has tragically passed away. Richard died on Sunday morning at Cedar Crest Hospital in Abuja, following a brief period of hospitalisation. The family confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement on Sunday.
The cause of his death has not been immediately revealed. However, it was reported that he had been placed on oxygen in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Friday night. Efforts to revive him proved futile, leading to his untimely demise.
His alma mater, the Vom Old Boys’ Association (VOBA), also confirmed the incident through a post on its social media platform, stating: “On a very sad note, we regret to announce the sudden passing of our member, Mr. Richard Adamu Tallen. Eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord, may perpetual light shine upon him. May the soul of Richard and all departed VOBA members RIP. Amen.”
Richard, aged 42, was a graduate of Computer Science from a prestigious university in the United States. He leaves behind a wife and three children, deeply grieving his loss.
The family has indicated that burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
