The workshop, themed “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: AI and Digital Marketing Strategies,” was inspired by the rising influence of technology on business. It sought to provide women with the tools needed to harness the power of digital platforms, thereby expanding market reach, enhancing operational efficiency, engaging customers effectively, and boosting brand visibility.

The event attracted a wide range of business professionals from various sectors, all eager to learn how emerging technologies can enhance their businesses. Experts such as Dr. Opeyemi Ojesina, CEO of Jesshill Consulting, Nkechinyere Ojiego, General Manager at Simba Group, and Mrs. Adenike Abimbola, Divisional Head of Retail and SME Banking at Unity Bank Plc, delivered insightful sessions. These sessions provided participants with practical strategies for leveraging AI and digital marketing to grow their ventures.

Speaking to the media after the event, Mrs. Adenike Abimbola highlighted the importance of empowering women entrepreneurs, citing the vast opportunities presented by the digital landscape.

“The growing digital landscape presents a unique opportunity for women to scale their businesses. There are over 70% of women entrepreneurs in Nigeria who desire this kind of capacity-building programme to improve their businesses, helping them learn how to transition from traditional business methods to one powered by technology, as this will become a differentiator,” Mrs. Abimbola explained.

She further commended the partnership with ANWBN, emphasising Unity Bank’s commitment to supporting female-led businesses in Nigeria. “We are proud of our partnership with ANWBN and the success of this workshop. Empowering women entrepreneurs is key to driving economic growth and ensuring sustainable development. We look forward to more initiatives that support and uplift women in business.”

Participants lauded the workshop for its valuable insights. Mrs. Yetunde Adeniran, a fashion designer, expressed her appreciation for the knowledge gained, stating, “With the insights from this workshop, I have found new ways of integrating digital technology into many aspects of my business.” She also praised Unity Bank’s Yanga Account, which she identified as a critical tool for small business owners, offering tailored financial support.

The Yanga Account, launched in 2022, aims to foster financial inclusion for women. Its success, coupled with the impactful nature of this workshop, underscores Unity Bank’s ongoing efforts to support female entrepreneurs by providing access to essential financial tools, resources, and educational opportunities.

As Unity Bank continues to champion initiatives like this, its commitment to the empowerment of women entrepreneurs remains clear, further solidifying its role in driving economic growth and promoting inclusive business practices across Nigeria.
