Heirs Insurance Shortlists 15 Students for 8 Million Scholarship Essay Championship
Heirs Insurance Group, Nigeria’s fastest-growing insurance conglomerate, has announced the top 15 semi-finalists for the third edition of its Heirs Insurance Essay Championship. These finalists were selected from nearly 5,000 entries submitted by Junior Secondary School students across Nigeria, showcasing the immense talent and creativity of the nation’s youth.
The essays, centered around the theme “If I Could Invent Something New,” were evaluated on originality, depth of analysis, and clarity of thought. The rigorous grading process was overseen by renowned academics, with Deloitte & Touche, a leading audit and quality assurance firm, independently reviewing the results to ensure objectivity.
The top 15 students will now move forward in the competition, with three finalists advancing to the grand finale. This final stage will include a concluding presentation and will take place at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton Abuja later this month. The finalists’ trip to Abuja will be fully sponsored by Heirs Insurance Group.
The winners of the Heirs Insurance Essay Championship will be awarded a combined scholarship of N8 million. Additionally, the school of the final winner will receive a N1 million donation, further contributing to the educational development of the institution.
The essay championship is a key component of Heirs Insurance Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, which aim to enhance the quality of education for the next generation. Through this competition, the group also seeks to highlight emerging talent and foster a closer relationship between parents, children, and the importance of financial security.
This year’s competition saw creative entries from 35 states across Nigeria, reflecting the widespread enthusiasm and engagement with the challenge. In recognition of their efforts, all participating students will receive a certificate of participation.
The final winners of the Heirs Insurance Essay Championship will be announced later this month, marking the culmination of this exciting and impactful initiative.
