UBA Spokesman, Nasir, Loses Mother
Ramon Nasir, the Head of Media and External Relations at the United Bank for Africa (UBA), is mourning the loss of his mother, Musiliat Falade, who passed away on Thursday morning at the age of 86. Mrs. Falade, who held the title of Iya-Oba of Imasayi Kingdom in Yewa, Ogun State, died at Duchess International Hospital in Lagos.
In a statement sent to Daily Global Newspaper by the family and signed by Mr. Nasir, he expressed the family’s grief: “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un. Our matriarch is gone! It is with deepest regret and total submission to the will of the Almighty that the families of Falade, Kuoye, Nasir, and Rasaq announce the passing away of our mother and the matriarch of our families, Musiliat Amoke, popularly known as Olowoletiasho. She passed on this morning at Duchess International Hospital. She was 86 years. Until her demise, she was the Iya-Oba of Imasayi Kingdom, Yewa, Ogun State.”
Mrs. Falade will be buried at her residence at 11 Oredola Estate, Okepadi, Ado-Odo, Ogun State, at 4 p.m. on Thursday. The funeral is expected to be attended by family members, friends, and community leaders who will pay their last respects to a woman remembered for her significant contributions to her community.
Renowned for her business acumen, religiosity, and contributions to community development, Mrs. Falade was installed as the Yeye Oba of Imasayi in 2021, following the installation of Oba Olalekan Kuoye as the Olu of Imasayi Kingdom. In 2018, she celebrated her 80th birthday surrounded by friends, family members, and dignitaries, including publicists, journalists, and financial experts.
Mrs. Falade’s passing marks a significant loss for her family and the Imasayi Kingdom community.
