Police Arrest 43 Suspects and Recover Pistol in Overnight Raid
In an all-night operation, the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has arrested 43 suspects in Oshodi and its environs, recovering a semi-automatic pistol in a separate incident on the same day.
The raid, conducted in Anthony, Bolade Oshodi, and Oshodi Terminus, followed credible intelligence about the activities of criminal elements in those areas.
Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, deployed a team to verify information received from the public, leading to the recovery of a pistol in Opebi, Ikeja. Additionally, two 9mm calibre and one expended ammunition were also seized during the operation.
Following a thorough screening of all arrested suspects, the 43 individuals found culpable are set to be charged to court immediately. The operation highlights the RRS’s commitment to combating crime and ensuring the safety and security of Lagos residents.
