NDIC Delegation Visits Family of Late Access Bank MD/CEO, Dr. Herbert Wigwe to Offer Condolences

In a gesture of solidarity and support, a delegation from the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) led by its Managing Director/Chief Executive, Mr. Bello Hassan, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank, Dr. Herbert Wigwe.
The delegation, which also included Executive Director (Operations), Mr. Mustapha Ibrahim, and Executive Director (Corporate Services), Mrs. Emily Osuji, visited Elder Shyngle and Mama Stella Wigwe, the grieving parents of the late banking icon, to offer words of comfort and solace during this difficult time.
Dr. Herbert Wigwe tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash alongside his wife and son while en route to watch the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. The news of his untimely demise shocked the nation, as he was widely respected for his contributions to the banking industry and his philanthropic endeavors.
During the visit, Mr. Bello Hassan expressed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the NDIC, highlighting Dr. Wigwe’s exemplary leadership and remarkable achievements in the banking sector.
