In accordance with the Nigerian Communications Act 2003, the NCC has made these draft regulatory instruments available for public review and comment on its official website, www.ncc.gov.ng. The commission encourages stakeholders and interested parties to provide their valuable feedback and suggestions on the proposed regulations.

The draft Quality of Service Regulations, which have been amended and accompanied by the Draft Business Rules, will be the subject of the first public inquiry. This inquiry will take place on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 11:00 am. Concurrently, the NCC will also hold a public inquiry on the Commercial Satellite Guidelines at the same time.

The following day, Wednesday, July 26, 2023, the NCC will conduct public inquiries on the Draft Guidelines on Corporate Governance and the Draft Data Protection Regulations. Both inquiries will commence at 11:00 am. The final set of inquiries will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023, focusing on the Competition Practices Regulations (as amended) and the Numbering Regulations (as amended). These inquiries will also start at 11:00 am.

The NCC has invited all interested stakeholders to participate in the public inquiries. The inquiries will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing for both virtual and physical participation. The physical attendance will take place at the Conference Room of the Nigerian Communications Commission’s Head Office in the Maitama District of Abuja.

Stakeholders are encouraged to submit written submissions regarding the draft regulatory instruments and actively engage in the public inquiries to ensure their voices are heard. The NCC recognizes the significance of collaboration and feedback from stakeholders in shaping effective regulations that will foster growth, innovation, and improved services within the Nigerian communication sector.
