Unified USSD Codes for All Nigerian Mobile Networks Approved by NCC

Unified USSD codes have been certified for use acoss all Nigerian mobile networks by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

All national mobile networks will support the harmonized shortcodes (HSC). This indicates that all mobile network services will utilize the same customer service number, code, for checking data balances, recharging credits, etc.

The Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Registration/NIN-SIM connection is now verified using the code *996#. For the purpose of handling complaints about Do-Not-Disturb (DND) unsolicited messaging, the Code 2442 is kept.

For mobile number portability services, commonly known as porting services, the standard code 3232 is preserved.

Up to May 17th, 2023, both the old and new harmonised short codes will function simultaneously.
