Adron Homes Properties Ltd, a well-known property investment company, is currently facing a surge of complaints and reports from dissatisfied customers on various social media platforms, including Twitter and online forums. These customers are accusing the company of engaging in sharp practices, scams, and fraudulent land acquisition projects. However, Adron Homes Properties has responded to these allegations, denying any wrongdoing and reiterating its commitment to its vision.

One customer, identified as @Engr_Series on Twitter, alleged that Adron Homes Properties allocated a piece of land in Shimawa, near the RCCG area, and provided a complementary bag of rice and keg of groundnut oil. However, after nearly completing the payment, the company allegedly reallocated the land to a different area—a proper tropical rainforest. This action was seen as a breach of agreement, leading the customer to request a refund. Unfortunately, Adron Homes’ terms and conditions heavily favored the company, imposing a significant default fee. The customer claimed that the company even demanded the return of the bag of rice and keg of groundnut oil before providing a meager refund.

Another individual named Bigfat expressed concerns on the Nairaland forum, questioning whether Adron Homes is a scam. This person had been trying to contact the company for the past two months through emails and calls, but received only one initial reply and no further response. Furthermore, one of the company’s staff members, who had traveled to London, allegedly became unresponsive and even blocked the customer on WhatsApp. Bigfat, based abroad, expressed frustration with the situation and wondered if everything in Nigeria had become a scam.

Adron Homes Properties, in response to inquiries from various media outlets, released a statement titled “CLARIFICATION OF FACT” to address the allegations. The company refuted the claim that it had no homeowners in its estates, stating that it has hundreds of landlords residing in its estates across Nigeria. Adron Homes emphasized that the insinuations of fraudulent practices and non-delivery of land to clients are false and condemnable.

Regarding hidden infrastructural and development fees, the company declared that all fees are clearly stated on its website, social media platforms, promotional materials, and onboarding forms. Adron Homes stressed that as a real estate company, it is crucial to provide necessary infrastructure such as perimeter fencing, secure gatehouses, road networks, drainage systems, electricity, street lighting, and recreational facilities in its estates. The company prides itself on maintaining high standards in infrastructure development.

Adron Homes attributed adjustments in fees to fluctuations in market prices, clarifying that it does not control the prices of building materials. Consequently, fees may be reviewed periodically to reflect current market conditions, ensuring the company can fulfill its promises without compromising infrastructure quality. Adron Homes also highlighted that certain fees, like surveys and building plan approvals, are statutory in nature.

Addressing another claim, the company denied forcing customers to use its engineers for construction projects. Instead, Adron Homes requires clients to engage qualified building engineers who possess COREN or COBON certifications. This measure aims to ensure the best standards are maintained in the estates and to prevent building collapses.

Adron Homes urged clients who have violated the contractual terms and conditions to explore the available options for resolution, rather than resorting to spreading half-truths and damaging the company’s reputation. The company considered such actions to be libelous and called on the public not to share unverified and malicious statements related to these allegations. Adron Homes reiterated its commitment to building cities, communities, and homes, while remaining accountable to its clients and striving to make their real estate journey seamless.
