CP Ali decorates newly promoted officers
With great jubilation galore in Delta State Police Command Headquarters, Asaba, as the State Commissioner of Police ,Mr Ari Muhammed Ali, decorated newly promoted officers of the Command.
The officers decorated were among those who benefited from the recent promotion released by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Alkali Baba Usman.
According Delta State Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO),”a total of 130 officers were promoted to next ranks. Among those promoted are the Area Commander Ogwashi-Uku, ACP Obiozo Cyril Uche, promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police, and Area Commander Burutu ,ACP Adepegba Kolawole Adetoye, also promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police. The DPO Ugborikoko ,CSP Okon Martha Edet, who was promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police was decorated by the Commissioner of Police. Other officers decorated included: DSP Achem Collins Arrey, DSP Princewell Eke, DSP Akanya Agboga, all of who were ASP’S prior to their promotions, the 2/IC PPRO, ASP Edna Bassey was promoted from the rank of ASP II to ASP I.
“The CP who was assisted by members of his management team in his remarks noted that the promotion is part of the IGP’s way of motivating officers and men of the force. The CP also stated that the reward for hard work is more work, hence they should be mindful that their promotions are more responsibilities. To whom much is given,much is expected of him.
“The CP thanked IGP Baba, for finding his officers worthy of the promotion and urges them to be hard working because to whom much is given, much is expected.
“One of the promotee’s ACP Okon Martha Edet, speaking on behalf of the officers promoted thanked the IGP for finding them worthy of the promotions and also assured the IGP and the CP that they would not disappoint, adding that they would brace up to the new challenges that come with the new ranks”.
