BUKOLA SARAKI : THE TRIUMPHANT ENTRY OF THE GREAT SON OF KWARA STATE By Tijani Olaegbe
Actually, certain significant milestones in a man’s life require celebration. So, when God in His infinite mercies bestowed on His Excellency, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki with rancor free arrival from a well deserved retreat and successful celebration of 8th year memorial prayer for Baba Saraki which came up on Saturday, 14th November 2020, as a matter of fact, the feat, is indeed astonishing and a remarkable achievement in all ramifications.
At another level, the triumphant entry back to his home town and really, Kwara State after the storm, the challenges coupled vicissitudes
and travails of life that made many of his adversaries contend that the light is out for Saraki Dynasty; the mammoth crowd that surged on his arrival up till his departure back to his base and the divine intervention in the reuniting the feuding siblings of the Dynasty; truly Bukola Saraki is a rare gem with unique and uncommon endowments from God.
All these, are more or less another wonder of the 21st century because the mainstream opinion and conclusions from some quarters and assembly sites and more importantly the gullible elites was that the outcome of 2019 general elections that produced Ramoni as another tenant of Kwara State Government House were the much expected therapeutic measures that put a final stop to the long reign of the Dynasty.
But in a dramatic twist, the unexpected happened. Bukola Saraki the hard nut to crack, resurfaced to the chagrin of his traducers, into the waiting hands of both the cream of the society and the commoners of the populace.
The above reminds of a post I read a couple of hours ago authored by our vibrant youth, Kayode Ogunlowo. The title of the discourse was, ” SARAKI’S RETURN; A CHALLENGE TO GOVERNOR ABDULRAZAQ ABDULRAHMAN”.
The submissions were very instructive and a piece that foretold the inevitability of Bukola Saraki taking up the mantle of leadership of good governance in Kwara State to redress the downturn of hitherto vibrant and progressive politics.
However, the concluding paragraph of the post strucked me like thunder because it revealed the essence and ultimate goal of Ramoni administration. The said paragraph goes thus: “Your Excellency, you have a lot to do in your party and government if you must get rid of Saraki influence in Kwara politics. If not, Saraki may come back “.
Readers, is Saraki not back? If politics is a game of number and going by the multitude and population that saw it all during the brief and heroic home coming of the avatar of our time, how else can a person takes charge?
My duty here is to herald, amplify and re echo of the effective takeover of politics in Kwara State by the GREAT SON OF KWARA STATE; Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the immediate past Senate President of the 8th Senate.
