CBN IN FRESH TROUBLE FOR FROZEN #ENDSARS ACCOUNTS
The Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele has come under attack for filling a suit seeking to freeze the accounts of Nineteen (19) supposedly #Endsars Protesters Leaders.
From the information gathered by Daily Global News, that the request filed by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, on October 20 was granted by Justice Ahmed Mohamed of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, Nigeria.
Justice Mohammed of the Federal High Court Abuja, gave the court Order directed all Head offices of Access Bank, Fidelity Bank, First Bank Nigeria, Guaranty Trust Bank, United Bank of Africa, and Zenith Bank, to freeze all transactions on the twenty (20) accounts on the list for a period of 180 days which is four (4) months, pending the outcome of inquiry and investigation been conducted by Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
The individuals affected include Bolatito Racheal Oduala, Chima David Ibebunjoh, Mary Doose Kpengwa, Saadat Temitope Bibi, Bassey Victor Israel, Wisdom Busaosowo Obi, Nicholas Ikhalea Osazele, Ebere Idibie, Akintomide Lanre Yusuf, Uhuo Ezenwanyi Promise and Mosopefoluwa Odeseye.
Since this development, they have been many reactions from different Nigerians, that Emefiele is being used by the President Buhari -Led government to oppress the youths of Nigeria.
Nigerian youths criticised the CBN Governor for having a dialogue with some #EndSARS promoters, but processed behind closed doors to freeze accounts.
