SOUTH EAST NOT FIT FOR SUPREME COURT JUSTICES

The recent appointment of supreme court Justices done by President Muhammadu Buhari, following the nomination by the National Judicial Council (NJC), eight Supreme Court Justices was appointed and confirmed Senate on October 13 2020.

The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Justice Tanko Muhammad, will be administering the oath of office today on the newly appointed eight Justices of the Supreme Court.

According to the Nigeria lawyer reports the Programme is scheduled at the Supreme Court’s main court.
The newly appointed Justices, who are all elevated from the Court of Appeal are: Justices Helen Ogunwumiju (South West); Emmanuel Agim (South South); Lawal Garba, (North West); Abdu Aboki (North West), and M M Saulawa (North West); Justics Adamu Jauro (North East); Samuel Oseji (South South) and Tijani Abubakar (North East).

From the list we can see that non of the Justices from the South East made it to the Supreme Court.
